Commercial Manager

G.James Aluminium Products is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Commercial Manager to join our Extrusion Division. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving commercial performance, financial outcomes, procurement strategies, contract management, and business development initiatives across the Division.

Your Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Aluminium Products, you will provide strategic commercial leadership and support profitability, growth, and operational performance through strong financial management, commercial analysis, supplier and customer relationship management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an influential role suited to a commercial leader who enjoys analysing business performance, identifying growth opportunities, managing risk, and partnering with stakeholders to achieve strong business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with divisional and organisational objectives
• Provide commercial advice and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance reporting activities
• Monitor profitability, margins, pricing, and overall commercial performance
• Manage procurement strategies, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency

About You
You are a commercially minded professional with strong financial and business acumen, a strategic approach to problem-solving, and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
Ideally, you'll bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a senior commercial, finance, procurement, or business management role
• Experience negotiating contracts, supplier agreements, and commercial arrangements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Advanced ERP and business systems knowledge
• Experience within manufacturing, aluminium, building products, industrial, or related sectors will be highly regarded
• Degree qualification in Commerce, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification will be highly regarded.
