About the role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Casual Administrative Assistant / Scheduler to support our growing defence contract in the Northern Territory. Based in our Darwin office, you will play a key role in supporting daily business operations, workforce scheduling, and customer service activities. This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
Coordinating and maintaining employee schedules, training requirements and resource allocations
Assisting with personnel administration activities
Liaising with employees, supervisors and clients to ensure workforce requirements are met
Managing incoming phone calls, emails and general enquiries
Preparing and maintaining accurate records, reports and documentation
Supporting recruitment activities, including arranging interviews and onboarding documentation
Assisting with timesheet administration and data entry
Supporting continuous improvement of administrative and scheduling processes
About you
Previous experience in an administration, scheduling, workforce planning or coordination role
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
Experience in the resources, engineering, construction or industrial services sectors will be highly regarded
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
