MEM Boilermaker

About the role

As a casual MEM Boilermaker/Lineborer at Peak Precision Engineering, you will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication duties to a high standard for our clients across Western Australia and South Australia This is a casual/subcontractor position.

Subcontract rates to be discussed with successful applicant.

What you'll be doing

1. Carry out welding and fabrication work to repair and maintain mining equipment including tray re-lines, tray rebuilds including floor, sidewall and headboard replacements

2. Using correct fabrication and welding techniques for simple and larger technical bucket/shovel rebuilds

3. Read and interpret engineering drawings and plans

4. Operate a range of diesel/generator welding equipment for FCAW, MMAW and carbon arc gouging.

5. Perform general boilermaking tasks such as cutting, bending and assembling metal components

6. Ensure all work is completed to required safety and quality standards

7. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment with the capability to think outside the box and work by yourself at times.

8. Assisting with Lineboring with the opportunity to up-skill to a lineborer.

What we're looking for

1. Qualified Boilermaker with a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, minimum 3 years MEM experience

2. HR Truck licence, WAH, Dogging, C6 crane ticket and LF is an advantage but not essential.

3. Proficient in FCAW, Carbon arc gouging and Rebuilding mining equipment to tight tolerance

4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plans

5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

6. Flexible and adaptable approach to work

7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

8. Australian work rights required for this position

9. Current driver's licence required for this role
