ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Technical Support Officer, your key responsibilities include:

•    Provide support, advice and recommendations to ensure the effective operations of the Hospitality & Engineering (Higher Education) equipment.
•    Networking with internal and external staff, suppliers and contractors to maintain the fluency of program delivery.
•    Liaise with suppliers to determine the best and most economic equipment to be purchased.
•    Ordering of equipment in a timely manner and maintain stock control of such items.
•    Organise the repair of equipment to ensure the efficient operation of the full range of departmental equipment and resources and maintaining systems and records that follow auditing regulations.
•    Ensure correct Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) practices and procedures are maintained in accordance with legislation.
•    Arrange and take an active role in departmental OH&S Audits and Inspections

ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in using and servicing appropriate tools & equipment.

Qualifications required for the role:

•    Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or similar) with substantial experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical and administrative fields; or a suitable combination of relevant qualifications and experience.
