About us

The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.

What we do is integral to the Government’s decision-making processes about where and how to spend taxpayer’s money to ensure Western Australians have access to quality services on a financially sustainable basis.

We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA.

We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.

The work area

The Operations Group 1 (OG1) directorate administers land tax and other annual land-based taxes and grant and subsidy schemes including the First Home Owner Grant and Pensioners and Seniors Concessions. OG1 manages overdue debts and maintains and develops the bespoke revenue systems underpinning RevenueWA’s activities.

The opportunity

Are you passionate about developing innovative digital services that make interacting with Government easier? We are looking for a motivated leader to join us and make a difference for Western Australia. In this role, you will:

• Guide and support a team of business analysts to maintain and improve revenue collection systems and public-facing online services
• Plan for the future of our business and the services we offer
• Provide high-level, technical advice and leadership in relation to systems and technology

We currently have one (1) permanent full-time position available for filling within the Operations Group 1.
