We are currently seeking experienced Drill Fitters for FIFO opportunities to Kalgoorlie.
 
This is a great opportunity for a qualified fitter with exploration drilling experience looking for a stable FIFO role, competitive rates and flexible roster options.
 
About the Role
 
Working as part of a field-based maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of exploration drilling equipment operating safely and reliably.
 
The role:

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance of drill rigs and support equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Attending to breakdowns in remote field locations
• Maintaining engines, hydraulic systems, compressors, rotary heads and associated components
• Assisting with rig setup, mobilisation and demobilisation
• Completing maintenance records and reporting equipment issues
• Working closely with drill crews and supervisors to plan maintenance requirements
• Keeping service vehicles, tools and field workshops maintained and organised
• Supporting site safety requirements, toolbox meetings and risk assessments

Experience with the following equipment will be highly regarded:

• Schramm drill rigs
• Sandvik / UDR drill rigs
• Hurricane boosters
• Diamond and/or RC drilling equipment

What You’ll Need

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering – Fitting or equivalent
• Previous experience working on drilling or mobile equipment
• C Class Driver’s License
• Strong safety focus
• Ability to work independently in remote environments
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• National Police Clearance
• Full Australian working rights
