Streamline Contracting
About the role
Streamline Contracting | Perth WA | Full-Time
Streamline Contracting is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our growing operations team.
This is an opportunity for a capable, practical supervisor who enjoys being close to the work, leading people and taking ownership of project delivery.
You won't be stuck managing one work front for months at a time. Our projects are varied, fast-moving and spread across Perth metropolitan and regional Western Australia, giving you exposure to civil, construction, infrastructure, maintenance and remote works.
If you're the type of supervisor who can walk onto a project, understand what needs to happen, organise the people and resources, solve problems and get the job delivered safely and properly — we want to hear from you.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of multiple projects and work fronts.
You will work closely with our Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure works are properly planned, adequately resourced and delivered to Streamline's expectations for safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is comfortable both managing the site and getting involved when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising civil, construction and maintenance works across multiple projects.
Leading, coordinating and mentoring trades, operators, labourers and subcontractors.
Planning daily and weekly works, labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements.
Conducting pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site coordination activities.
Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with SWMS, project requirements and company procedures.
Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
Monitoring productivity, workmanship and project progress.
Identifying upcoming constraints and resolving site issues before they impact delivery.
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and deliveries.
Maintaining strong relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.
Completing site documentation, diaries, QA records and reporting as required.
Identifying variations and additional works and communicating these to the Project Manager.
Assisting with mobilisation and demobilisation of projects.
Maintaining high standards of presentation, housekeeping and professionalism across our sites.
Supporting the development of apprentices, tradespeople and emerging leaders within the business.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership.
You don't need someone standing over you telling you what needs to happen next. You can look ahead, develop a plan, communicate it to the crew and make sure it gets done.
Ideally, you will have:
Demonstrated experience supervising construction or civil works.
Strong civil construction knowledge, with broader building or maintenance experience highly regarded.
Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors.
Strong understanding of construction safety and site compliance.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Good planning and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal directly with clients.
A practical approach to problem solving.
High standards of workmanship and accountability.
Ability to manage several competing priorities and work fronts.
Current Australian driver's licence.
Construction White Card.
Relevant trade qualification or supervisory experience.
Experience across civil works, concrete, drainage, earthworks, demolition, structural works, building refurbishment or infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
Qualifications matter, but attitude matters just as much.
We're looking for someone who:
Leads from the front — earns the respect of the crew and sets the standard.
Takes ownership — doesn't walk past problems or wait for somebody else to solve them.
Plans ahead — knows what's happening tomorrow, not just what's happening today.
Communicates — keeps the crew, management and client informed.
Gets things done — understands that successful construction is ultimately about safe, quality delivery.
Looks after the team — develops people while maintaining clear expectations and accountability.
Streamline Contracting is an established Western Australian contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across construction, civil, infrastructure and maintenance.
Our size means you won't become another number.
You'll have direct access to senior management, genuine responsibility for the projects you supervise and the opportunity to play an important part in the continued growth of the business.
We offer:
A permanent, full-time position.
Competitive remuneration based on experience.
Company vehicle and required tools of trade.
A diverse pipeline of Perth and regional projects.
Exposure to multiple sectors rather than a single repetitive project.
Genuine autonomy and responsibility.
Direct access to the company's decision-makers.
Opportunities to progress as Streamline continues to grow.
A practical working environment where good ideas are listened to.
A business that values people who take responsibility and deliver.
This is not a permanent FIFO position. The role will primarily support our Perth-based operations; however, regional and FIFO travel will be required from time to time depending on project requirements.
If you're an experienced Supervisor who wants more ownership, greater variety and the opportunity to help build a growing Western Australian contractor, we'd like to hear from you.
