Intermediate / Graduate Tax Accountant

About the role
Etairos Group is seeking an Intermediate / Graduate Tax Accountant to join our growing team in Helensvale, QLD. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst providing a meaningful contribution to our taxation services division. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to our diverse client base, whilst developing your expertise in taxation. This position is ideal for someone looking to build their career in taxation within a supportive and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS

• Bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks for a diverse range of clients

• Preparation of tax returns for individual, corporate and trust clients

• Assisting with general accounting and administrative duties as required

• Liaising with clients to gather necessary information and clarify tax matters

What we're looking for

• Completion of a Bachelor of Business or Commerce majoring in Accounting

• Strong technical understanding of Australian taxation principles and legislation

• Proficiency with tax software and accounting systems, especially Xero

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in tax preparation and compliance work

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Intention to progress towards a membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand

• 1 - 2 years experience in an Australian professional accounting practice
