About the role

We're looking for an entry-level HR Administrator to join our Oceania HR team, based in Perth. This is a genuine opportunity to start a career in human resources with a business that operates at scale, no two days will look the same. You'll provide day-to-day administrative support across the employee lifecycle, working closely with our HR Manager and the wider Sarens team. Full training and support will be provided; we're more interested in your attention to detail and willingness to learn than years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files

• Supporting onboarding for new starters, including paperwork, inductions, and system setup

• Assisting with recruitment coordination: scheduling interviews, liaising with candidates, and preparing offer documentation

• Drafting routine HR correspondence, such as employment verification letters

• Providing administrative support for payroll processing and timesheet queries

• Monitoring the HR inbox and responding to general employee queries

• Filing and maintaining compliance documentation in line with company policy

• Supporting the HR Manager with ad hoc projects and reporting

About you

• Strong administrative or customer service background (HR experience is a bonus, not a requirement)

• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to record-keeping

• Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

• Clear, professional written and verbal communication

• Trustworthy and comfortable handling confidential information

• Studying towards, or holding, a qualification in human resources, business, or a related field is highly regarded but not essential

• Genuine interest in building a long-term career in HR
