About the role
Job Responsibilities1.Responsible for daily O&M and fault handling at BESS sites, monitoring equipment status via SCADA/EMS systems, and promptly diagnosing and rectifying faults in PCS, BMS, and electrical equipment to ensure high system availability.2.Participate in on-site commissioning and grid connection of BESS projects, assist in system integration testing, and take charge of field execution and documentation during project handover phases.3.Serve as the primary on-site technical contact, maintaining regular communication with client O&M teams, responding to technical requests, proposing operational optimization recommendations, and issuing periodic O&M reports.4.Develop and implement on-site safety work plans, enforce electrical isolation, high-voltage switching permits, and other safety protocols, and support safety inspections and compliance audits.5.Coordinate with contractors, equipment suppliers, grid dispatchers, and other on-site stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow integration and project progression.6.Provide equipment operation training and technical guidance to client on-site personnel, and assist in developing standard operating procedures for field activities.7.Collect and organize field operation data and recurring technical issues, and provide regular feedback to technical and R&D teams to support product improvement and solution optimization.Job Requirements1.College degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or related fields, with English communication skills and ability to adapt to project site working environments.2.Minimum 3 years of on-site experience in the BESS or renewable energy industry; familiar with BESS architecture and operating principles, with understanding of PCS, BMS, EMS, and HV/LV electrical equipment fundamentals and operations.3.Familiar with BESS site workflows, including equipment installation supervision, commissioning support, grid connection testing, fault diagnosis, and routine O&M activities.Knowledge of applicable standards for BESS products and electrical components, with ability to perform on-site inspections and compliance verification accordingly.4.Competent in on-site safety management, familiar with electrical safety procedures, and capable of independently developing and executing safe work method statements.5.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams, and capable of assisting with drawing verification and issue reporting.6.Willingness to travel domestically within Australia and internationally for project assignments, with strong on-site problem-solving skills and multi-party coordination abilities.
