Senior Mining Engineer

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Senior Mining Engineer to join our global team in Perth. The successful person will provide open pit technical and project management expertise to complete mining studies, mine planning, Ore Reserve reporting, due diligence studies and operational reviews.

Experience

10+ years' mining industry or consulting experienceStrong background in open-pit mine planning and designExperience in Scoping, PFS. FS and due diligence studies are a good additionFamiliarity with JORC Code, NI 43-101 and/or SK 1300 reportingAbility to work on several projects and meet deadlines

Technical Skills

Mine design (Deswik or Datamine), scheduling (Deswik, MineSched)Mineral Reserve estimation and reportingPit optimisation (Whittle or NPVS)Mining cost estimation and financial analysis are desirableRisk assessment and operational improvements are desirableProficiency with mining software (e.g. Deswik, MineSched, Whittle, Datamine)Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Bachelor of Mining Engineering or higherMember of AusIMM or equivalent preferredAbility to travel to mine sites
