Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and trim, to ensure a high-quality finish for our projects. You will work closely with our construction and design teams to ensure that all painting work is completed to the highest standard and within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting by filling cracks and holes, sanding, and priming

- Select and mix paints to achieve desired colors and textures

- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment

- Protect surrounding areas from paint by using drop cloths, tape, and other protective materials

- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment

- Collaborate with construction and design teams to ensure color and finish choices align with project plans

- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets project timelines

- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on site

- Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project

Qualifications and Experience:

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent

- Minimum of 12 months experience as a Painter

- Strong knowledge of different painting techniques and materials

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods

Salary and Benefits:

- Full-time, permanent position

- Competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 per year plus superannuation
