We're seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Data, Reporting & Insights to join our Data & Quality function.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the systems, reporting and insights that underpin service delivery across a large and complex health and community services organisation.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will lead specialist teams responsible for clinical data systems, service delivery reporting, government reporting obligations, data governance and business intelligence. You will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation has trusted information, meaningful insights and high-quality reporting that support funding compliance, clinical governance, organisational assurance and continuous improvement.

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of client information systems, government contract reporting, service delivery intelligence and data governance.

You will lead the ongoing development and oversight of client management systems, reporting frameworks, dashboards, data products and governance processes that support operational leaders, Executive stakeholders, governance committees and the Board.

A key focus of the role is ensuring Lives Lived Well continues to meet its reporting obligations across a significant portfolio of government-funded services while maintaining confidence in the quality, integrity and accessibility of service delivery information.

You will work closely with clinical leaders, service leaders and governance stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights that support performance monitoring, risk identification, service improvement and evidence-informed decision-making.

Leading specialist teams across Clinical Data Systems and Data & Reporting, you will drive continuous improvement in reporting capability, data quality, system governance and information management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams responsible for clinical data systems, reporting and insights.
• Oversee client management systems and associated reporting platforms.
• Ensure delivery of government, contractual and service delivery reporting obligations.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of dashboards, reporting products and intelligence tools.
• Strengthen governance and quality practices relating to client, clinical and service delivery data.
• Support clinical governance through high-quality reporting, analysis and performance insights.
• Partner with clinical and operational leaders to improve data literacy, reporting capability and decision-making.
• Deliver meaningful reporting and insights to Executive leaders, governance committees and the Board.
• Identify trends, emerging risks, performance opportunities and areas for improvement through data analysis.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across systems, reporting processes and information products.

About You

You are an experienced leader with a background in reporting, analytics, health information, client information systems or data functions within complex service delivery environments.

You understand the importance of reliable reporting, quality data and meaningful insights in supporting service delivery, funding compliance, governance and organisational performance.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading reporting, data, analytics or client information system functions.
• Experience managing government, contractual, regulatory or compliance reporting requirements.
• Experience overseeing CRM, client management, clinical information or comparable business systems.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality and information management principles.
• Experience developing dashboards, reporting frameworks and business intelligence products.
• Strong analytical capability and the ability to translate complex information into practical insights.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within health, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, disability, community services or other government-funded human services environments.
• Knowledge of national minimum datasets, government contract reporting and funding compliance requirements.
• Experience contributing to Executive, Board or governance reporting.
• Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Dynamics 365, Purview, SharePoint or similar technologies.
• Experience working with client outcomes, performance measurement and service delivery reporting.
