Wholesale Buyer

Westcoast BMW, part of Regent Motors Group, is seeking a motivated Wholesale Buyer to join our team.

This is an opportunity for an automotive professional with sound vehicle knowledge, strong relationship-building skills and a keen eye for purchasing opportunities. You will be responsible for inspecting, valuing and purchasing vehicles to meet the needs of our pre-owned vehicle department.

The Role

Working closely with the Wholesale Manager and pre-owned vehicle team, your responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and purchasing vehicles from a variety of channels

• Inspecting vehicles and completing accurate appraisals and valuations

• Negotiating purchase prices and terms

• Building and maintaining relationships with customers, purchasing agents and wholesale contacts

• Liaising with the pre-owned vehicle department to understand stock requirements

• Maintaining communication between the dealership and wholesale buying and selling agents

• Completing purchasing paperwork and maintaining accurate records

• Providing professional customer service and following up enquiries promptly

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Motor industry experience and a sound understanding of vehicle sales and mechanical condition

• Strong communication, relationship-building and follow-up skills

• Confidence assessing vehicles and identifying suitable purchasing opportunities

• Good negotiation skills and a professional telephone manner

• Sound computer skills and a thorough approach to paperwork

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• A proactive attitude and the motivation to work independently

• The ability to collaborate effectively with dealership teams and external contacts

• A current WA driver’s license

• A current WA Motor Vehicle Salesperson’s License
