About the role
Do you want to interrogate data-centric sources to break down complex financial and insurance topics and produce unique, compelling content that’s accessible to everyday Australian consumers? We are looking for a Data Journalist – Insurance and Banking to join CHOICE someone who brings passion, curiosity and tenacity to pursue a consumer’s perspective, no matter the obstacles in their way.
About you
You’re a data-driven storyteller who’s equally comfortable interrogating a spreadsheet or writing for a lay audience. You know how to acquire, analyse and interpret complex datasets, and turn findings into stories and visualisations that address the information asymmetry consumers face in financial services and utilities. Persistent and tenacious, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, you balance engaging storytelling with CHOICE’s tone of voice, and collaborating well with internal and external content professionals, subject-matter experts and stakeholders.
Driven above all to uncover the truth in the data and turn it into advice that makes a genuine difference to consumers.
