Native Earth Facilitator – More Than a Support Worker

This isn’t your average disability support role.

One day you might be hiking through the Perth Hills, fishing from the coast, training at the gym or exploring a new community. The next, you could be supporting an unforgettable camping trip, regional adventure or multi-day respite experience.

We’re looking for capable, grounded and adventurous people who want to make a genuine difference—not simply complete a shift.

About the role

As a Native Earth Facilitator, you will work alongside people with disability to help them build confidence, independence, practical skills, meaningful relationships and a stronger connection with their community.

Your role may include:

- Facilitating community access and recreational activities
- Supporting hiking, fishing, camping, swimming, fitness and outdoor adventures
- Delivering individualised, person-centred support
- Encouraging independence, confidence and informed decision-making
- Assisting with daily living tasks when required
- Supporting overnight and multi-day respite experiences
- Transporting participants safely within the community
- Managing risks while preserving dignity, choice and opportunity
- Completing accurate shift notes, incident reports and required documentation
- Communicating professionally with participants, families and the Native Earth team
- Being a positive role model, mentor and genuinely good human

Who we’re looking for

You might be an experienced disability support worker, youth worker, outdoor educator, mentor, coach, tradesperson, health professional or community-minded adventurer.

Qualifications matter—but character matters just as much.

You will thrive at Native Earth if you are:

- Reliable, emotionally mature and accountable
- Energetic, physically capable and comfortable outdoors
- Calm and confident in unfamiliar or challenging situations
- Respectful of individual choice, identity, culture and personal boundaries
- Able to build authentic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
- Proactive and capable of working independently
- Open to feedback, personal growth and continuous learning
- Comfortable supporting people in metropolitan, regional and remote environments
- Passionate about helping people experience more of what life has to offer

Essential requirements

Successful applicants must have, or be willing and eligible to obtain before commencing:

- A current Australian driver’s licence
- A safe, reliable, registered and insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Clearance
- Working With Children Check, where required
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- The legal right to work in Australia
- A smartphone and confidence using digital systems
- Availability for flexible shifts, including some weekends, evenings, overnight stays and multi-day experiences
- The physical capacity to safely participate in active and outdoor supports

Relevant disability-support experience and qualifications are highly regarded.
