Operations Manager (Regional)

About the role

The Regional Operations Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across the Electrical, Data & Communications, and Security verticals within their region. This role ensures consistent project delivery, high-performance team leadership, and alignment with FAT Comms' commercial, compliance, and cultural objectives. The Operations Manager is responsible for driving Project and Business performance, resolving escalations and ensuring that all Projects and Business Units operate to shared standards of safety, quality, profitability, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Organizing, planning, and managing the daily tasks and operations of the region

• Evaluating the region's performance and identifying areas of improvement

• Providing technical direction and professional support to regions personnel

• Ensuring that staff members comply with the policies and procedures of the region

• Assisting with employee recruitment, onboarding process and training of new region staff members

• Weekly and Monthly reporting as per company requirements

• Working with the financial department to plan and develop the region's monthly budget

• Working with the estimation department to price and develop the region's project budgets

• Reviewing office operations and reporting any issues to the Project Director

• Assigning employees to work on different projects and overseeing rosters and reports

About you

• Ability to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple service verticals

• Experience in project delivery and team leadership

• Knowledge of safety, quality, profitability, and continuous improvement standards

• Manage P&L accountability for a region

• Experience with budget planning, cost analysis, and financial forecasting

• Proficiency with project management systems and ERP tools

• Strong understanding of OHS/HSE requirements and compliance procedures

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve escalations

• Experience in process standardization and systems development

• Capability to conduct recruitment, onboarding, and staff training
