This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, energetic and customer-focused individual to contribute to a valued community service while being part of a supportive and positive team.

You will be required to be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 8:45am and 10:45am. Additional hours may be available during staff leave across Naturaliste Community Centre and also the Geographe Leisure Centre.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supervising and caring for children in a safe and nurturing environment
• Delivering fun, interactive and stimulating activities for children of various ages
• Building positive relationships with parents and responding to enquiries professionally
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming crèche environment
• Following and implementing crèche policies, procedures and safety requirements
• Recording incidents, accidents and required documentation
• Contributing ideas to enhance programs and improve service delivery

As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience working with children and the ability to engage positively with all ages
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• The ability to follow procedures, work collaboratively and take direction effectively

Pre-employment requirements:

• A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
• A current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Proof of right to work in Australia
