Koppen Construction is a leading civil contractor delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Far North QLD. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and technical excellence, we specialise in the construction and renewal of pump stations, rising mains, treatment infrastructure, underground services, and related civil works that support essential community services.
As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated Civil Site Engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of pump station renewal and water infrastructure projects across FNQ and Regional Queensland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to build their career within a respected contractor delivering complex civil and utility infrastructure projects.
About the RoleWorking closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors, you will provide technical and project delivery support across all stages of construction.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the delivery of pump station renewals, water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Coordinating day-to-day construction activities to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Monitoring project progress, production rates, and resource utilisation.
Managing subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
Supporting procurement activities and material tracking.
Maintaining project documentation, reporting, and contractual records.
Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and WHS requirements.
Interpreting drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
Preparing work packs, ITPs, RFIs, and construction records.
Contributing to project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Infrastructure, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years' experience within civil infrastructure construction.
Experience in water, wastewater, utilities, pump stations, pipelines, treatment facilities, structures, roads, or subdivision projects.
Good understanding of construction methodologies and site operations.
Knowledge of quality assurance systems, environmental compliance, and WHS requirements.
Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop your engineering career.
