Foreman/Carpenter

About the role

ACQ Projects is seeking an experienced Foreman/Carpenter to join our team in Bundaberg. This is a causal position with opportunity for a fulltime role in the future. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, to the highest quality standards and leading a team of tradespeople.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating and overseeing tradespeople and labourers to ensure all work is completed on schedule and meets high-quality standards.

• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met

• Ensuring work is carried out safely and in compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations

• Managing material orders, deliveries and inventory to support efficient project completion

• Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process

• Providing hands-on carpentry work as required to support the team

• Maintaining detailed records and documentation for each project

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Foreman/Carpenter in the construction industry

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building codes and safety regulations

• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with tradespeople and suppliers

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate and motivate a team

• Problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve challenges on the job site

• Strong organisational and time management abilities

• Carpentry trade qualification or equivalent
