The Role

Australian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Officer to join the Accounts team of their subsidiary, ALS Metallurgy, in the northern suburbs of Perth. Part Time hours for this role is Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Suitable applicants will need a minimum of 3 years' experience in similar roles and ideally have a basic qualification in accounting.

The day to day

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside another accounts payable team member, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Processing day to day supplier invoices, ensuring the required authorisations and items of documentation are in place.

• Attending to queries with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism.

• Assisting with supplier pay runs.

• Processing supplier credit account applications in line with ALS procedures.

• Maintaining of supplier accounts and records to a high standard.

• Performing end of month supplier account reconciliations.

• Assisting with any other required tasks.

• Compliance with regulatory and ALS policy requirements for Health, Safety and the Environment.

The essentials

The successful candidate will possess the following additional skills and abilities:

• Pronto 780 experience is desirable, but not essential.

• Strong Excel competency.

• Good interpersonal, communication, organisational and time management skills.

• Great attention to detail and be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work to tight monthly deadlines.

• Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.

• Alignment to ALS core values and culture.
