Student Worker - Total Learning Center

The Academic Support & Student Success Department is recruiting for one part time student worker to work in The Total Learning Center.  This position works to logistically support the staff in the Total Learning Center in the delivery of academic support services. This position assists in responding to student inquiries while fostering an environment of exceptional customer service. 

1. Assist with performing office duties such as answering phones, greeting students, monitoring email, and entering data as needed
2. Assist students with signing in to the learning lab and answer general questions related to the Total Learning Center
3. Assist with the scheduling of appointments
4. Maintain a clean, stocked snack area
5. Assist with preparation for events
6. Maintain office bulletin boards, handouts, and promotional materials
7. Follow all FERPA guidelines
8. Perform all other duties as assigned

• Enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters and 3 credit hours in the summer
• English proficiency
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication skills
• Friendly and professional attitude and good interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to establish and meet timelines
• Ability to function as a team player who is dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle controls, keypads, etc. Will be required to sit and reach with hands and arms as well as, sit, stand, and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while loading event supplies, booth equipment, office supplies, and paper. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, some color vision, and the ability to adjust focus from documents to computer screen. Hearing light to moderate sound is required for this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
