Who are you?
You are a highly motivated technical consultant who is driven to deliver the best work to your clients. You will have the background in large-scale migration projects, portfolio transformation, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Experience implementing disaster recovery strategies, backup solutions, and cost optimisation in AWS as well as strong understanding of Agile methodologies and AI-driven Cloud Migration.
What you'll do:
- Own delivery outcomes for client engagements, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality expectations are met
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership to small pods of Senior Consultants, supporting prioritisation, task allocation and delivery best practice
- Act as the primary delivery interface with customers, managing expectations, communicating progress, and mitigating risks
- Deliver high‑quality technical work, contributing hands‑on expertise while guiding others
- Support scoping and estimating with the Growth team, providing input for technically sound and achievable delivery plans
- Ensure alignment between delivery teams, technical standards, and practice guidance
- Contribute to reusable IP and accelerators in collaboration with the Practice Manager and Principal Consultants
- Represent Cevo professionally in customer meetings, workshops, and architecture discussions
- Provide coaching and guidance to Senior Consultants to uplift capability within the practice
- Support continuous improvement through retrospectives, lessons learned, and refinement of delivery approaches

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Strong and proven consulting skills. The ability to influence and have opinions about the tools being used and someone who is well versed dealing with customers and internal stakeholders and experience running workshops/ gathering data/ documentation
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, infrastructure design, and migration strategies.
- Deep understanding of AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)
- Proficiency in application portfolio assessment and workload prioritisation for migration
- Strong experience with AWS networking
- Familiarity with AWS migration tools such as Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service (DMS).
- Knowledge of legacy system migration patterns, hybrid connectivity, and data centre exit strategies.
- Solid programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python, bash) for automation and migration tasks.
Architecture & Design
- Expertise in designing secure landing zones, multi-account structures, and network architectures following AWS best practices.
- Experience architecting distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Strong understanding of modernisation patterns including containerisation, serverless adoption, and database decomposition.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks in AWS environments (IAM, KMS, encryption, governance).
- Able to produce reports and presentations for C-level audience
Leadership
- Proven ability to lead migration teams, manage complex transformation programs, and engage stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Tools & Practices
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, CDK or Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray).
- Exposure to AI-powered engineering tools like Amazon Q Developer or GitHub Copilot for automation.
- Knowledge of AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock) for future-readiness is a plus.
- Experience with developing business cases and understanding of ROI and decision metrics
- AWS Solution Architect Professional or Speciality a real plus
