About the role:

We are seeking an Apprentice Boilermaker to join our manufacturing site at Tullamarine, VIC.

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in metal fabrication and develop practical skills across welding, fabrication, fitting and assembly. The successful applicant will work alongside experienced tradespeople while completing their apprenticeship and gaining valuable hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

The qualification on completion would be a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking).

The successful applicant will be punctual and reliable, willing to learn and apply new techniques, able to follow instructions and committed to working safely. Above all, you will be a team player who takes pride in producing quality work.

About the candidate:

To be considered for the apprenticeship you need no previous trade experience, but must have the following attributes:

• 2nd or 3rd year apprentice experience will be highly regarded

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to learn and take instructions from qualified tradespeople

• Trade-level mathematics skills (Year 10 minimum)

• Genuine interest in beginning a career in boilermaking, welding and metal fabrication

• Process of completing or completed a prevocational course in metal fabrication or engineering (encouraged to apply)

• Metalwork, engineering or similar subject completion (Year 10 minimum)

• Demonstrated IT literacy

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Someone who takes pride in their work

• Motivated and eager to learn

• Reliable, honest and trustworthy

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• It would be beneficial to have a car licence but not essential
