About the role 

For those interested in immersing themselves in a professional and aspirational environment that supports your success and ongoing learning and development, we welcome applications for a permanent, full-time Commerce Teacher in Years 10 – 12 commencing in 2027.

Applicants must have a positive attitude and a proven record of excellence in teaching that incorporates evidenced-based practice in an engaging and supportive manner.  Teachers at Geelong Grammar School are required to be actively involved in our pastoral care and co-curricular programmes.

What you will be doing 

• Supporting the collaborative design of the Years 10–12 curriculum across Commerce
• Contributing to co-curricular programs and broader initiatives across the School’s campuses  
• Participating in professional learning, reflective practice and continuous improvement activities 
• Undertaking administrative, organisational and supervisory requirements
• Enabling student wellbeing through pastoral care, relationship building and active engagement with families 
• Other duties as required commensurate with your teaching role 

What we are looking for 

• An experienced educator with a strong teaching background in senior years
• The ability to teach a combination of VCE Accounting, Business Management, Legal Studies and/or Economics
• Passionate about contemporary pedagogy and adolescent development 
• Strong curriculum design and planning skills 
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, parents, staff and external stakeholders
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work across faculties and with external partners 
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
