About the role
Humber, Heyday & Halfway are a small group of venues in the heart of Wollongong CBD—ranging from rooftop and cocktail bars to a large-format late-night nightclub.
We’re looking for a full-time Venue and Duty Manager roles with strong leadership and proven ability to run high-energy, fast-paced service venues. This is a hands on role.
You will take ownership of venue operations end-to-end, leading from the front while building a cohesive team culture and driving strong commercial outcomes.
Remaining calm under pressure and solving problems in real time during busy periods
Rostering and proactive staff management, including effective security coordination
Strong cost control, efficiencies, and accountability across service delivery
A positive, creative approach and strong contribution to a collaborative leadership team
Comprehensive operational capability—from open to close, including pre-service preparation and post-service wrap - risk management and coordination.
