About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Officer to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on payroll, combined with broader HR responsibilities. You will support the accurate and timely delivery of payroll while assisting with day-to-day HR activities across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

·       Process and support end-to-end payroll.

·       Review timesheets, overtime, allowances, leave, deductions and employee changes.

·       Complete payroll reconciliations and reporting.

·       Respond to employee payroll enquiries and resolve discrepancies.

·       Maintain accurate payroll and HRIS data.

·       Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, Modern Awards and employment conditions.

·       Support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.

·       Prepare contracts, variations and other employee documentation, and provide general HR support.

·       Support HRIS/payroll system improvements and HR projects.

About You

You will ideally have:

·       Minimum 1 - 2 years’ payroll experience with demonstrated end-to-end payroll capability.

·       Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Modern Awards.

·       Experience calculating overtime, allowances, penalties and leave entitlements.

·       Experience using payroll and HRIS systems.

·       Excellent attention to detail and payroll reconciliation skills.

·       Strong Excel, organisational and communication skills.

·       Ability to work independently and meet strict payroll deadlines.

·       HR administration experience will be highly regarded.
