Casual Compounding Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a registered pharmacist to join our team on a casual basis, specialising in the preparation of customised compounded medications for our patients. You will work in a well-equipped compounding lab within a patient-focused community pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile compounded medications (creams, capsules, troches, liquid formulations) in accordance with Australian pharmaceutical compounding standards and pharmacy protocols.

• Verify prescriptions, check for drug interactions, and provide clinical advice to patients and prescribers.

• Maintain strict quality control, documentation, and calibration of compounding equipment.

• Ensure compliance with TGA guidelines, GMP principles, and state pharmacy board regulations.

• Support the broader dispensary team during peak periods as needed.

About you

• Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA (no conditions).

• Proven experience in pharmaceutical compounding (non-sterile essential).

• Attention to detail and strong aseptic technique.

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centred care.

• Flexible availability to cover shifts across weekdays, weekends, and peak holiday periods.
