Breakfast and Lunch Chef

Full-time / Part-time — 5 days per week·

Café Latte is a small, established café on Malvern Road in Hawksburn. Alongside our daily café trade, we run a busy private functions side of the business .We're looking for a chef to take ownership of our kitchen on the day-to-day menu.

What you'll do

• Run daily service — breakfast and lunch, plated and to a consistent standard
• Work on seasonal menu development and function menus
• Manage ordering, supplier relationships, stock rotation and waste
• Keep food costs and portioning on track
• Confidently handle dietary requirements — gluten-free, vegetarian, allergen requests are routine here
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness to Victorian standards

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years in a café or restaurant kitchen
• Calm under pressure and organised — functions run alongside normal trade
• Australian work rights and a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• execute our existing menu

Pay: $65,000.00 – $73,000.00 per year
