About the Team
The Finance/Accounts team is a tightknit team of 9 providing support to the firm nationally. This role will work closely with our five other Accounts Clerks, three Accountants and our Head of Finance who are all based in Brisbane.

The team is responsible for:

• accounts payable/receivable;
• maintaining both Trust and General accounts;
• bank reconciliations;
• client credit card payments;
• banking;
• safe custody;
• firm corporate card processing;
• processing principal salary payments and reconciliation;
• staff reimbursements;
• end of month processing including reporting; and
• responding to accounts related enquiries.

About The Role
You will work collaboratively in the team and be responsible for daily trust EFTs, trust to office processing, ad hoc trust receipting, investments, filing, daily trust bank reconciliations and payment approval coordination.

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will be required to provide assistance as needed to other areas/members of the accounts department, to ensure that everyone in the team is able to cover all duties during leave absences of other team members. Training will be provided for additional responsibilities outside of the primary role.

About You
We’re seeking a driven and experienced Accounts Clerk who is keen to support a talented and busy team. To be successful in this role you will need a good working knowledge of excel, excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. Legal accounting experience is preferable although not essential.
