About the role: 

Pine Rivers Private Hospital is looking to employ a Registered Nurse for their Mental Health Unit. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.

About Us:

Located on the bank of the South Pine River, our 56-bed mental health facility provides comprehensive inpatient and day programs for our Queensland community. As a leading provider, we specialise in addiction, bipolar and depressive disorders, OCD, PTSD and complex PTSD management, psychosis and chronic pain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care

• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

• Ensure patient and staff safety

• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care

• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

Essential Criteria:

• Current Registration with AHPRA

• Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health (highly desirable)

• 6 months Mental Health nursing experience

• Commitment to Quality Patient Care

• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

• Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Works well independently and within a team

• Basic computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and QLDNMA/ANMF-QLD Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, a salary ranging from $42.74 - $68.22 per hour.
