Services Coordinator

About The Position

As Julyardi continues to expand we are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated employee to assist in delivering and coordinating services to our local Hedland Aboriginal Community. You will be accountable for the day-to-day running of a team, including but not limited to establishing core relationships with various stakeholders, managing contract compliance, completing reporting, employee support, seeking grant funding and other funding opportunities, and establishing and maintaining positive relationships with our clients and Elders. We deliver various services, and provide wrap around support for young people, families, and Elders within the local Aboriginal community. This role will be supporting and working within both our daytime and nighttime services.

This Service Coordinator role will have a specific focus on our Early Years services, overseeing programs such as Kumaparniku – early years wrap around support services, First Nations playgroup, HIPPY program and relevant early years programs and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team, supporting day and night services.
• Coordinate and oversee Early Years programs.
• Provide effective communication and conflict resolution.
• Build positive relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies and services providers.
• Create an inclusive and culturally safe environment.
• Implement, deliver, and evaluate strong service delivery for individuals, and family support planning, including case management of families and children within our programs.
• Manage financial delegation
• Administration including driving and rolling out new software for stronger service delivery.
• Effectively multitask in a busy environment.
• Participate in contractual reporting requirements, to ensure organisational compliance, and organisational quality assurance.
• Applications for grant funding and other funding opportunities

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with individuals, groups, and organisations.
• Exhibits accountability, professional integrity, respect for our Aboriginal communities, our Elders, clients, external clients, and visitors.
• Demonstrated ability to provide service delivery, advice, information, and assistance to a range of people.
• Experience in case management and Early Years support services
• Demonstrated ability in areas of time management, working autonomously, and within a team.
• Understanding the importance of professional boundaries including privacy, confidentiality, and respect in the workplace.
• Supports effective operation of the local interagency governance group, including convening and facilitating regular meetings and enhancing stakeholder participation.

Other Essential Requirements

• Experience in providing support in a similar role.
• Current Full C class license
• A National Police Certificate no more than 6 months old
• A Working with Children Check
