Broome Physio
About the role
Broome Physio
Full-time, part-time or locum | No weekend work
September 2026 start – flexible
Are you an experienced Physiotherapist looking for something a little different?
Maybe you're ready for an adventure, want to experience regional Australia, or are simply looking for a private practice where you can enjoy your work and have a life outside the clinic.
At Broome Physio, you'll have the opportunity to build a rewarding private-practice career while living in one of Australia's most unique coastal towns.
We're looking for a Physiotherapist with a strong interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy to join our close-knit team.
We're open to full-time, part-time and locum arrangements, so if you're interested in spending a few months in Broome rather than making a permanent move, we'd still love to hear from you.
Australian work rights are required. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
$95,000–$120,000 + super + performance incentives
No weekend work
Flexible full-time, part-time or locum arrangements
Relocation support and access to applicable regional relocation programs
Weekly in-house professional development, mentoring and case discussions
CPD and professional development support
Supportive, experienced team and collaborative clinical environment
Varied MSK, sports and occupational caseload
Modern clinic with dedicated rehabilitation gym and Pilates equipment
Supportive administration/reception
Opportunity to develop your own clinical interests and career
We aren't a clinic where you'll spend all day treating the same type of patient.
Your caseload can include:
Musculoskeletal and sports injuries
Exercise rehabilitation
WorkCover and DVA
Occupational health
Functional capacity assessments
Pre-employment medicals and functional testing
Clinical Pilates
Aged care and community physiotherapy
Dry needling
There is plenty of opportunity to develop your own areas of interest and build the type of caseload you enjoy.
We know that moving to a regional location can be a big step, particularly if you're coming from interstate or overseas.
You'll be joining an experienced team where we actually talk to each other about patients and clinical decisions.
You'll have:
Weekly in-house professional development
Regular case discussions
Clinical mentoring and support
Opportunities to learn from other clinicians
CPD and professional development support
A supportive administration team
We want you to become a better clinician while you're here — not simply fill a diary.
We believe good physiotherapy combines clinical reasoning, hands-on treatment and active rehabilitation.
We're looking for someone who values a balanced approach to treatment, combining manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and patient education.
We want our clinicians to have the freedom to use their clinical skills and judgement rather than follow a rigid treatment model.
We believe you should be able to have a life outside the clinic.
No weekend work required.
We aim to provide a manageable caseload and a supportive working environment where you have the time to provide quality patient care.
You'll also have a strong administration team supporting you with the day-to-day running of the practice, allowing you to focus on your patients.
We're ideally looking for someone with:
AHPRA registration
Australian working rights
Ideally 2+ years' private practice experience
A strong interest in MSK and sports physiotherapy
Good clinical reasoning skills
A balanced approach to treatment, combining manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation
Excellent communication skills
A warm, personable approach with patients
A genuine interest in developing clinically
A team-focused attitude
We're particularly interested in clinicians who are experienced enough to work independently but still enjoy learning, discussing cases and being part of a team.
Thinking about a short-term adventure in Broome?
We're also open to locum Physiotherapists who would like to spend a few weeks or months working with us.
This could suit a clinician who:
Wants to experience Broome before committing to a permanent move
Is travelling around Australia
Wants a change of scenery
Is between permanent roles
Simply wants to combine work with a few months in the Kimberley
Locum dates and arrangements are flexible — get in touch and let's have a chat.
Imagine finishing work and being minutes from Cable Beach.
Your days off could involve:
🏝️ Beach days
🎣 Fishing
🚤 Boating
🤿 Diving
🏕️ Camping
🌅 Kimberley adventures
Broome offers a lifestyle that's very different from working in a busy city clinic.
It's the kind of place where people often come for an adventure and unexpectedly find somewhere they want to stay.
If you're currently in Perth, interstate or overseas and considering a move, we'd love to have a conversation.
We can provide support and information around relocating to Broome, and regional relocation assistance may also be available through applicable programs.
You don't need to have Broome figured out before applying — we're happy to have an informal conversation about the role, the clinic and what living here is actually like.
Whether you're looking for your next permanent role, a part-time position or a short-term locum adventure, we'd love to hear from you.
Send us your CV and a short cover letter telling us a little about yourself and what you're looking for.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
