BET Care Group is looking for a motivated Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in a part-time position (0.6 FTE).
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience in accounts, payroll or bookkeeping who is ready to take the next step and broaden their skills.
Working alongside our Finance team, you'll gain hands-on experience across fortnightly payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations and NDIS billing within a growing care organisation.
 
What you'll be doing

• Assist with fortnightly payroll processing and timesheet reviews.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and process approved payroll changes.
• Assist with payroll enquiries and investigate pay discrepancies.
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Prepare invoices and process supplier payments.
• Complete bank, supplier and account reconciliations.
• Assist with superannuation processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Process and reconcile NDIS, DVA, TAC and Plan Managed claims.
• Follow up rejected claims, billing discrepancies and outstanding accounts.
• Assist with month-end processes and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Provide general accounts and finance administration support.

What we're looking for
 
You'll be someone who enjoys working with numbers, has a great eye for detail and is keen to develop your career across both accounts and payroll.
You'll ideally have:

• 1-2 years' experience in accounts, payroll, bookkeeping or a similar finance role.
• Some practical experience with payroll processing.
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and reconciliations.
• A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach.
• The ability to handle confidential employee and financial information appropriately.

Experience with Xero, MYOB, Deputy, SCHADS Award payroll or NDIS billing would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
