Cake Decorator / Pastry Cook

Located in Stafford QLD, we make delicious plant based slices, cakes and protein balls that are distributed all over Australia. We've been operating for 8 years and have grown into a busy wholesale production kitchen. We work efficiently, we're respectful to each other and we maintain a clean and organised environment.

HOURS & PAY:

$36 per hour | 3 days per week (more available for the right candidate) | 7am to 3:30pm

THE ROLE:

The tasks in this role vary slightly depending on the day, but most days you'll be:

• Piping small individual cakes with consistent cupcake style designs
• Coring and filling cakes and adding final decorative touches
• Mixing and accurately weighing ingredients
• Packing finished products
• General production set up, cleaning and pack down

THE DAY:

Your day will start at 7am, include a 15 minute morning break and a half an hour lunch break. We finish at 3:30pm and only operate from Monday to Friday so afternoons and weekends are all yours.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

1. A minimum of two years' professional experience in cake decorating or pastry, with confident piping skills. You need to be comfortable piping neat, consistent cupcake-style designs efficiently and across large production runs. Experience may be from a café, cake shop, bakery, hotel, restaurant or food manufacturing facility. Home based experience is not included.

2. An enthusiastic, upbeat and hardworking attitude. This is a big one for us. We want to spend our days with kind and polite people who communicate well and work efficiently.
