Our Undergraduate Program is designed for penultimate and final-year students who want to get a genuine head start on their career while completing their studies. Working part-time from our Adelaide office, you’ll gain hands-on, real-world experience alongside your degree.

You will be placed within one of our Adelaide teams and paired with a Manager and Senior Analyst who will support your learning, answer your questions and help you build confidence with real client work from day one.

You will work alongside Principals and team members who are experts in their fields, gaining exposure to a diverse client base and the opportunity to see how the technical concepts from your studies apply in practice.

Strong performers in our Undergraduate Program are well placed to be offered a position in our Graduate Program upon completion of their degree, giving you a clear and supported pathway into a full-time career with Pitcher Partners Adelaide.

We are looking for current university students who are curious, motivated and want to build their career in accounting and business advisory:

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Processing, reconciliations and preparation of working papers
• Assisting with the preparation of activity statements and other ATO lodgements
• Data entry and bookkeeping using Xero and other accounting software
• Providing general support to the team across a range of accounting duties
• Building your knowledge of accounting standards, taxation and professional practice

• Are currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate degree (e.g. Commerce, Accounting or Business), in your penultimate or final year
• Are available to work part-time during semester (typically 2-3 days per week)
• Are an Australian or New Zealand citizen; an Australian Permanent Resident; or an international student who will independently apply for a relevant visa with full working rights
• Bring a can-do attitude, a willingness to put your hand up, have a go, and step outside your comfort zone
• Have an interest in Private Business & Family Advisory, Tax or Audit
• Are considering, or have a desire to complete, your CA or CPA qualification in the future

• Honesty and integrity
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to balance work with study commitments
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• An emerging understanding of accounting principles gained through your studies
