Job Description

The Product Delivery Lead is a key hybrid role operating at the intersection of delivery management (60%) and product ownership/business analysis (40%) within our Data & AI department. As the Product Delivery Lead you will serve as the master translator between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring programme goals are grounded in real user problems. Across the project lifecycle, you will lead business solution designs, facilitate seamless end-to-end delivery, and empower your squad to continuously build and release high-value, data-driven solutions.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Agile Ceremony Facilitation: Lead and facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Big Room Planning (BRP).
• Translate Business Needs: Translate complex business problems and user needs into structured user story maps and prioritised backlogs.
• Drive Squad Delivery: Drive adaptive planning, capacity management, and impediment resolution to ensure squad health and predictable sprint outcomes.
• Lead Solution Design: Lead the creation of business solution designs, manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and execute go-to-market plans.
• Ensure Release Quality: Hold accountability for release readiness, ensuring delivered features meet quality standards prior to launch.
• Track Delivery Health: Maintain automated delivery dashboards (e.g., Burn-up/Burn-down charts, Cycle Time) to provide clear, data-driven visibility into delivery health.
• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Orchestrate cross-functional dependencies across squads and departments via "Sync of Syncs" and collaborative forums.
• Optimise Product Value: Partner with Product Managers and leadership to optimise value-for-spend and embed lean delivery principles into the function.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Agile Delivery Expertise: Minimum of 5 years leading complex digital or data deliveries, with deep practical mastery of Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• PO & BA Skills: Proven experience gathering requirements, creating user story maps, managing backlogs, and making value-driven sprint trade-offs.
• Pragmatic Governance: Skilled at balancing iterative Agile flow with fixed portfolio milestones, financial budgets, and traditional organisational reporting.
• Stakeholder Facilitation: Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge business strategy with technical feasibility and lead alignment discussions.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Adept at using Agile metrics for forecasting, early risk surfacing, and proactive problem resolution.
• Desirable Background: Dual certifications (e.g., PSM and PMP), exposure to Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS), or a technical background in Data Engineering or AI.
