Merlo Coffee began over 30 years ago with a simple philosophy – freshly roasted specialty coffee served by people who are passionate about coffee. 

Today, Merlo is proud to be one of Australia’s leading independently owned and operated coffee roasters, who supply the public, our own Merlo Coffee stores and 1,700 cafes and restaurants with freshly roasted coffee around the country every day.

We are seeking talented and dedicated CHEF'S who are passionate about people, quality food and great coffee to join our team at our Merlo Coffee Toowoomba stores: Russell Street & Wyalla (Newtown).
 

Casual 35+ hours/week or potential Full Time role for the right fit.

• Russell Street position: Flexibility over a 7 day roster, weekend availability

• Wyalla position (Newtown): Tuesday to Saturday availability

About you

• Qualified Chef (Level 5 - Cook Grade 4) Experience in a cafe or restaurant environment is required.

• Kitchen organisation: manage the workflow and meet preparation targets, complete food safety checklists and other OH&S procedures, order stock and food items for the store

• Creative culinary flair; experience in planning and executing exciting menus

• Able to work in a fast paced environment and an ability to work autonomously

• Sound food safety and hygiene knowledge

• High attention to detail

• A fun, hardworking and energetic attitude towards work 

• A demonstrated understanding of the Merlo workplace culture
