Located in Caboolture, DMH & Co. is a specialist structural steel detailing firm established in 2018. We service the construction industry throughout Queensland and beyond, delivering high‑quality structural steel detail drafting, conceptual design support, and structural engineering assistance. We work closely with steel fabricators, Structural Engineers, Builders, and professional services across residential, commercial, industrial, and mining sectors.

About the role

This role is ideal for a seasoned detailer who enjoys precision work, problem‑solving, and taking ownership of their drawings and models. You will work across a diverse range of structural steel projects, producing accurate 3D models and 2D documentation while collaborating directly with clients and fabrication teams.

Key responsibilities

• Developing 3D models and 2D drawings for structural steel projects using AutoCAD and Advance Steel

• Interpreting and deciphering engineering and architectural drawings

• Communicating professionally with clients via email and phone

• Using Microsoft Office for documentation and project communication

• Working within project timelines to deliver accurate, high‑quality drawings

• Contributing to improvements in design and drafting processes

• Supporting coordination with fabricators and builders to ensure constructability

About you

• Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel detailing (required)

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD

• Advance Steel experience highly regarded

• General computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency

• Trade background highly regarded (boilermaker, fabricator, metalwork)

• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction processes

• A detail‑oriented person who enjoys problem solving and precision work

• Excellent communication skills, providing precise information via email and phone conversations with a diverse range of clients
