About the Role
This permanent part-time role reports to the Sports Supervisor and is responsible for leading the delivery of safe, engaging and inclusive sports and recreation programs at Cockburn ARC. The role provides on-shift leadership, supervision and support to sports and children’s program staff, delivers high-quality programs and activities, and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service. The Senior Activity Leader will also respond to customer enquiries and issues, provide guidance and on-the-job support to team members, monitor safety and facility presentation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of programs and customer experiences, in line with City of Cockburn values, service standards and operational requirements. The role will generally involve working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Wednesday during the day, and rotating Friday evenings. There may also be an occasional requirement to work weekends or outside these hours, depending on operational requirements.
About you
This role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about sport, recreation and delivering positive experiences for the community. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering sport, recreation or children’s programs, with the ability to confidently lead, support and mentor staff in a busy recreation environment. You will be a confident communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, a positive team approach and the ability to respond professionally to customer enquiries and issues.
A commitment to delivering safe, inclusive and engaging programs, maintaining high standards of customer service, and supporting a positive team culture will be essential for success in this role.

Salary and Benefits: Salary range from Level 2 Step 1 – Step 4 ($71,907.67 to $77,576.67 per annum pro rata) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
