Assistant Teacher

MSA employs current education undergraduate students as Assistant Teachers to assist teachers, groups of students and individual students in the delivery of quality education.

MSA values and prioritises our staff's education and understands that the study load while at University can be difficult, which is why this role was created with flexible hours and days, respectfully allowing time for a busy study schedule.

About Mastery Schools Australia
A small, not-for-profit Middle School (Years 4-10) dedicated to teaching and supporting students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream schooling due to learning difficulties or academic stress. We provide delivery of the full Australian Curriculum, including the general capabilities with a focus on explicit instruction pedagogy (direct instruction) / Mastery Teaching.

Unlike most mainstream schools in Australia, our school offers academic success through specific literacy and numeracy programs targeted to the individual needs of the student through evidence-based intervention programs. Each campus is capped at 300 students, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:6 in each classroom, ensuring nobody gets left behind.
