About the role

Are you passionate about shaping how people engage with information, technology and AI in a rapidly evolving digital world? Deakin Library is seeking a Specialist, Digital, Information and AI Literacies to lead the development and coordination of innovative programs and services that build capability across our University community.

In this influential role, you will collaborate with Library teams, academic and professional staff, and key University stakeholders to create a cohesive and future-focused approach to digital, information and AI literacies. You will identify emerging opportunities and challenges, translate insights into practical solutions, and help empower students, researchers and staff to critically, creatively and ethically engage with information and technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in an area of strategic importance, driving innovation, fostering partnerships, and contributing to the future of learning, teaching and research at Deakin.

You will bring

• Demonstrated expertise in digital, information and AI literacies, with relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading programs, projects or services within a complex organisational environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and partnership-building capabilities.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a commitment to evidence-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• A collaborative leadership approach that drives innovation, supports high performance and enables successful change.
