About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader Building Maintenance, The Coordinator – Facilities Maintenance plays a key role leading a team to effectively manage building maintenance service contracts and building maintenance delivery.

The purpose of the role is to oversee the planning, program development, minor project delivery, and evaluation of maintenance across Shire buildings, ensuring they are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and provide value for our community.

You will thrive in this role if you are adaptable, value strong contract management and contractor performance, and have a passion for maintaining the built environment for the benefit of the community.

About You

• Education & Experience – demonstrated building maintenance or construction industry experience including contract management, facilities management and facility or building qualifications. Experienced and effective people leader. 
• Regulatory Awareness – working knowledge of Building Regulations and National Construction Code requirements.
• Written & Oral Communication – Effective and clear communication skills, with a collaborative approach to building relationships, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and manage sensitive conversations.
• Data & Numeracy – Intermediate skills using the MS Office suite and experience working with spreadsheets, budgets, and performance metrics to inform decision making.
• Problem Solving - Ability to troubleshoot issues, adapt to changing priorities, be agile and deliver practical solutions.
