About the Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership, operational support and staff mentorship within the Coronary Care Unit.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of patient care, supporting team development and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the unit.

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide clinical and operational leadership within the CCU
• Foster a positive learning culture that supports staff growth and development
• Mentor, coach and support nursing team members
• Coordinate evidence-based nursing care and clinical practice
• Build strong relationships with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams
• Support daily resource management, staffing and operational requirements
• Lead clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
• Deliver direct patient care when required
• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability and patient-centred care

About You

You are a passionate cardiac nurse with strong clinical expertise and a desire to lead and support others.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• 2-3 years' experience within a Coronary Care Unit
• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care (Cardiac qualification preferred)
• Demonstrated team leadership experience
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
• Compliance with NSQHS/ACQSHC Standards
• Current Working with Children Check
• Ability to work across a rotating AM, PM and Night Duty roster

Desirable:

• Previous ANUM experience or experience in a senior clinical nursing role

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2025 (Salay range between $60.15 - $62.17 + 12% Super)
