About the role
The Opportunity:
Ngaanyatjarra Health Service is seeking a Coordinator Health Information to support the management, integrity and governance of clinical information and patient health records across our remote health services.
This position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, providing flexibility to suit the successful candidate.
This is a key role supporting the effective use of Communicare and other health information systems, ensuring accurate and timely clinical data, strong privacy and information governance, and efficient health information processes.
Working closely with clinical and corporate teams, you will provide system support and training, maintain data quality and patient records, assist with Medicare claiming and reporting, and coordinate the release and management of health information. You will also contribute to quality improvement, auditing, recalls, immunisation reporting and other national health programs and systems.
About You:
You have strong health administration or health information experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with clinical information, data and a range of stakeholders.
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in health administration, health information management or a related role.
Sound understanding of privacy, confidentiality and relevant legislation relating to health records and information management.
Experience using electronic patient information systems, with Communicare experience highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to maintain data quality, reporting and information governance processes.
Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse environment.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse, manage and report on data.
Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel to remote locations.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge and understanding of MBS and Medicare billing processes, including compliance requirements.
Experience providing user support, training and onboarding for clinical information systems.

Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres.
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.
