About the role
The purpose of the Projects and Disaster Recovery Officer position is to provide administrative and technical support to ensure the effective delivery of infrastructure projects and disaster recovery works, under the general direction of the Manager Projects and Disaster Recovery.
The role supports compliance, financial management and documentation activities to assist Council in maximising eligible funding recovery and delivering safe, timely and high‑quality outcomes for the community.
What Council Offers
This position is classified as Level 4 Y1 under the Hinchinbrook Shire Council Local Government Officers (Stream A) Certified Agreement.
The salary is $85,954 per annum plus superannuation. $45.5991 per hour.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate has experience assisting civil or disaster recovery projects, can interpret guidelines and technical documents, is highly organised, skilled in Microsoft Office, and communicates clearly while coordinating documentation and stakeholder interactions.
