Traffic Engineer (Temporary)

Temporary (Fixed Term) Up to 6 months

Full-time (average of 38 hours per week)

In this highly specialised role, you will be providing input into traffic management and road safety improvement for all road users towards achieving integrated Transport Plan outcomes, conduct traffic and road safety investigations, coordinate Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) schemes and be involved in community consultation regarding infrastructure upgrades.

To perform at a high level, you require a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering/Traffic Engineering and have relevant experience in these areas. Any post graduate qualifications in traffic or transport engineering will be highly regarded. In addition to your professional qualifications and experience, you possess well developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as sound computer skills.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

1. Significant experience in traffic or municipal engineering
2. Experience in identifying, developing and delivering community programs
3. Experience in preparing, submitting, and acquitting funding submissions
4. Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering/Traffic Engineering and experience relevant to the position
5. Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence

We are offering a gross salary from $102,707 to $110,461, depending on skills and experience and:

• 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
