About the role
MOBIS Parts Australia is part of the Hyundai Group of companies and the distributor of parts and accessories for Hyundai and Kia vehicles within Australia and the Pacific Region. We are a market leader in the supply of automotive genuine parts and accessories.
The PositionWe are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our Accessories team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and successful delivery of genuine automotive accessories from development through to mass production.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will review, approve, and support the development of accessories while driving continuous improvement across quality, compliance, supplier performance, and business processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct fitment reviews and provide timely feedback on accessories and approval documentation.
Review and approve accessories for mass production in accordance with established processes, standards, and timelines.
Review supplier production facilities, testing methods, manufacturing controls, and quality systems.
Conduct supplier quality audits and monitor corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance.
Ensure accessories comply with applicable Australian regulations, vehicle specifications, and internal quality standards.
Review vehicle and accessory CAD designs to support efficient accessory development and quality outcomes.
Support quality assurance activities, including root cause analysis, problem-solving, and resolution of accessory-related issues.
Liaise with suppliers, dealers, and internal stakeholders regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.
Support the accessory RFQ process by providing quality-related input into supplier assessments and business award decisions.
Assist with the development and maintenance of quality control specifications, testing requirements, and supporting documentation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, supplier performance, and operational processes.
Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates throughout the product lifecycle.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in automotive engineering, quality assurance, supplier quality, manufacturing, or product validation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to investigating issues.
Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and follow-up skills.
Familiarity with automotive industry regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Hands-on capability with tools and a solid understanding of vehicles, automotive accessories, and vehicle systems.
Experience conducting supplier audits or quality assessments is highly regarded.
Full Australian Driver Licence.
