Hanna's is a well-established, family-owned café that has proudly operated at Melbourne Airport for over 27 years. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef who takes pride in producing quality food and enjoys working in a positive, professional team environment.

This is a rare opportunity in hospitality, offering genuine work-life balance with no nights, no weekends, and a Monday to Friday roster.

About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Chef with solid experience in salads, ban-marie hot food, and café service. You’ll work closely with the Kitchen team to maintain high standards and smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve quality hot food, salads, and café-style dishes

• Maintain consistency, presentation, and portion control

• Assist with daily prep, stock rotation, and kitchen organization

• Support ordering and cost control

• Minimize wastage and uphold food safety standards

• Work collaboratively with a positive, supportive kitchen team

• Maintains high food safety and hygiene standards

About You:

• Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or IV)

• Previous experience in busy cafés or production-style kitchens

• Confident in preparing both hot and cold dishes for high-volume service

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Reliable, team-focused, and calm under pressure

• Enthusiastic about developing your skills and taking on more responsibility

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment

• Must have current Australian working rights
