About the Role 

As Senior Manager, Risk Enablement, you will be a vital member of a small team, empowered to support upliftment in the maturity of risk management and risk culture across Hollard by embedding practical, sustainable risk management practices, and working constructively and collaboratively with key stakeholders across all lines of accountability

Your duties and responsibilities

• Drive embedded risk management practices where risk frameworks, policies are well understood and consistently applied at all levels to identify, assess and respond proactively by understanding why this is important as part of their role

• Work with stakeholders to manage change in relation to core components of the Risk Management Framework including communication, training, change management and ongoing embedment activities

• Lead on activities that drive risk culture uplift working to support the desired risk culture articulated by the Board and Executive

• Design, implement and embedment of risk in change, ways of working and templates working to refine existing change processes to ensure the view of delivered risk is well identified, assessed and impacts on the enterprise risk profile

• Ensure key stakeholders across Line and Line 2 understand their roles, responsibilities in relation to these horizontal risk management and design templates, training to implement and embed practices.

• Design and deliver risk training, communications and change initiatives that build risk awareness, capability and accountability across all lines of defence.

About You 

• Significant experience and knowledge in risk management, risk enablement, risk culture maturity, gained within an APRA-regulated institution (preferably general insurance) or similarly regulated financial services environment.

• Demonstrated experience embedding risk frameworks and driving behavioural or cultural change within a complex organisation

• Strong working knowledge of APRA's prudential framework, including CPS 230 Operational Risk Management, CPS 220 Risk Management and its focus on risk culture, and an appreciation of the three lines of accountability model

• Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior leaders, customer facing teams and Board-level stakeholders.

• Demonstrated people leadership skills, with the ability to build capability and performance in a small team
